Wheel-thrown pottery has always fascinated me, and in 1998 when my children left the “nest” I had the opportunity to take my first pottery class at the Sawtooth School for Visual Art in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I immediately fell in love with clay and discovered a new challenge and passion in my life! It did not take long for my husband Randy to also begin getting his hands dirty. It’s been wonderful to have a hobby that we both share and enjoy doing together. We have developed our skills by attending local classes, workshops, and spending many hours “playing” in the mud.
